The latest election ad by Vasil Terziev that I came across seems to be starting to adapt the right rhetoric. Is Terziev's headquarters and the democratic community slowly starting to REDIPILE? I can only hope.
The clip is very simple and that is precisely its genius. Against a white background in a film studio, Vasil Terziev says "in the next 20 seconds, think about what kind of person you want to be mayor of Sofia? I'll wait." The twenty seconds pass, the frame moves closer and closer to Terziev's face and the 30-second clip ends with "Thank you. We start on Monday." No editing, no unnecessary campaign rhetoric, not even a single unnecessary movement. There is a barely perceptible hint of sarcasm in his words. Perfect.
This is probably the first really good election clip by Terziev. He exudes self-confidence, arrogance, even arrogance! As if the mayor's position is OVERWHELMING, that's why everything is predetermined and the elections are just a formality. That's exactly why it's a good clip! Because it's true, power is really bestowed upon him from above!
A few months ago I wrote that Vasil Terziev deserves to rule Sofia not despite, but precisely because of his lineage. This was, and still is, a completely serious argument. Irony and satire are decadent techniques!
Vasil Terziev is descended from pure-blooded Bulgarian aristocrats. To the extent that it can be said that Bulgaria after the Liberation (and especially after September 9) has some hereditary aristocracy, then Vasil Terziev's family is certainly part of it. Representatives of his family were involved in politics and were in power in one way or another not only during the communist era, but also before that! One of Terziev's distant relatives was part of the delegation that welcomed Prince Alexander Battenberg.
His grandfather was a partisan who was imprisoned for his beliefs. After that he took power by FORCE and for 24 years was the head of the military counterintelligence of the People's Republic of Bulgaria! Moreover, as we all learned, the man who held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs for the longest time in Bulgarian history - Petar Mladenov - is also a relative of his. "The tanks had better come", indeed, if a man of such lineage does not get what is due to him by birth!
I will say it again - the power of blood should not be underestimated. Alas, we live in a decadent era, in which lineage is no longer valued. The nature of a person is of key importance! Nature in the sense of what is natural to him, in the sense of the ancient Greek φύσις, that is, what is his (hereditary) NATURE as a living being. This predetermines his life potential.
Unfortunately, this has long been no longer appreciated and the modern world is doing its best to forget the power of blood. Everyone can now be whatever they want, in every possible sense! But is it really so? No matter how hard they try, a person will never be able to overcome what is (to them) natural. Yes, some people are like this, like this and like that BY BIRTH! And by virtue of this same birth there are things that could never be. As the popular wisdom says - a gene is a gene. Deep down, everyone is aware of this truth.
It is by virtue of this truth that Vasil Terziev is the better candidate compared to Vanya Grigorova. His biggest mistake throughout the campaign was that he tried to justify his ancestry! Blasphemy! The other candidates are the ones who have to justify that they DO NOT have his ancestry! When the blood of people who have ruled this country for generations flows in your veins, you are not the one who has to justify your claim to power. It is natural.
Who is Vanya Grigorova? The supposedly leftist, even radical leftist candidate in these elections! Some would even say - the communist candidate. But really? What does Vanya Grigorova understand by communism? What is her background? For her, the red idea is simply that - an idea, a concept, a collection of words, in short λόγος, as the great Aristotle would say. But for Terziev, the red idea is not just words on paper, but the very blue blood that flows in his veins! In the battle between logos and phúsis, the winner is foretold!
Even staunch leftists know this. Although the left denies the power of lineage, in its stubborn and naive denial it only reinforces it again and again - everywhere, especially in its extreme forms! It is no coincidence that every communist state in the 20th century (and to this day) creeps towards the dictatorship of a single strong leader and the transfer of state power through hereditary lines.
For the right-wingers, there should be no need for me to even argue. The (ultimate) goal of the right (the real one) has always been the restoration of the NATURAL order. This order, in which those who deserve to be in power - are in power. The very first merit is the one that is passed down by birth! That is why Terziev is (and is) the right-wing candidate! SEDESARI, WAKE UP! If you deny Terziev because of his ancestry, then you are right-wing only in form, but hopelessly LEFT in content!
I'll stop here. If Aristotle was right that "o άνθρωπος είναι ζῷον πολιτικὸν" - man is a political ANIMAL - then the choice of the runoff in Sofia is clear. In animals, the (genus) is everything! Strong gene - strong life. Superior blood - superior specimen! Don't forget that man is simply the highest animal species!
