Personally, I will remember another scandal in the "Oresharski" government with the thoughtless and inadequate actions of Minister Klisarova. With her comments, she left the impression that on Thursday she defended a project with the content of which she is absolutely unfamiliar. It is logical, under these circumstances, to raise the question: Do you read before you speak, Madam Minister?
Last Tuesday, the chairman of the MRF, Lutvi Mestan, announced that the "Oresharski" cabinet had no right to make any more mistakes. But from then until Friday, the cabinet's "mistakes" swelled.
Another government action that angered many was the proposed change to the teaching material in schools. The Minister of Education and Science, Anelia Klisarova, expressed a firm position that some of the works of Hristo Botev, Dimitar Dimov, Nikola Vaparov and Aleko Konstantinov would be dropped in order to "lighten the curriculum and have more time for review and exercises, which are the new trends in Bulgarian and European education."
Understandably, the minister's statement caused sharp discontent, as a result of which she changed her position the very next day and was quick to justify herself by saying that the project had been started under the previous government, and that she herself had not been informed about it when she took office as minister.
In this article, I do not intend to concern you with the mutual accusations between the education ministers of the current and previous cabinets, the search for a culprit, or the admiration of the literary qualities of the rejected works. There are two possible answers. If we assume that Minister Klisarova expresses support for a project with which she is not familiar, then this speaks of unprofessionalism, which discredits both the minister in question and the loudly proclaimed "team of professionals" of Prime Minister Oresharski. However, if we assume that the Minister of Education was familiar with the planned changes from the very beginning, then it turns out that she changed her mind under the pressure of public discontent in a truly complex political situation, without even making an attempt to defend it. Such behavior can be interpreted as conformism and would mean that, determined to stay in power at all costs, the ministers will not show the courage to carry out any reforms from now on. What stronger argument in support of Oresharski's resignation?
In any case, raising the issue of changes in the curriculum was not assessed purely strategically, which adds to the long list of shortcomings of the "Oresharsky" cabinet and shortsightedness. It is evident that the government is beginning to bend under external pressure, resorting to the trial and error method, which means that its ability to carry out decisive and necessary reforms in an important sector such as education is approaching zero.
These people will never go away on their own!
Parents and teachers must declare and implement an effective occupation strike in Bulgarian schools, preventing classes from being held in them until the old curricula return and until the paranoid red schizophrenia is eradicated from every level of the Ministry of Education - Starting from the minister and ending with the janitor and the last cleaning lady!!!
