Beaten by public servant

A police officer who fights to protect his superiors shouldn't come as a major surprise to the attentive observer. After all, it's important who pays your bills.

Some English speakers call civil servants – public servants – that is, people who supposedly work for the good of society and its individual members. Representatives of the political class are also referred to as such - they are not even simple public servants, but managers of a gigantic and expensive system for “creating public goods”. A wonderful system.

However, after yesterday's events, when some public servants beat the public so that they could save other public servants from the need for accountability, participants in the melee quite rightly asked themselves: "Why are they beating us and protecting them, aren't we the ones who pay the police their salaries?"

Unfortunately, things are not exactly like that, even those who realize that the toothy and armored policeman (who imposes them in the name of Anton Kutev's business) is paid with their money are mistaken. Because we don't pay them, they take it themselves, without permission.

The National Revenue Agency is not a company, nor is it a charity. Tax collectors do not come to ask for money or to exchange favors for them. They point to the “law enforcement officers” and make it clear that if you do not pay, you will deal with them. As for how your money will be spent, you are given the opportunity to turn to politicians, they always have a lot of ideas.

And don't be surprised that they beat you up and protect deputies, that there's no point in reporting a stolen bicycle, or that their main occupation is to pickpocket teenagers for marijuana. They don't serve you, society, or the individual, but their superiors, who feed them with your labor.
