Georgi Vuldjev: There is no way to expect fair pensions from an unfair system

Our editor-in-chief Georgi Vuldjev was invited to the show "More of the Day" on BNT to comment on the recent changes in the method of calculating state pensions and the state of the pension system as a whole. Vuldjev got into an argument with Ivan Neykov, one of the architects of the current system, regarding its current financial condition, long-term stability and ability to provide satisfactory pensions to Bulgarian citizens.

Our editor-in-chief highlighted the fact that the state pension system functions in a way that condemns it to long-term bankruptcy and that a fundamental reform in the opposite direction is necessary. The state of the second (private) pillar of the pension system and the problems in it were also discussed. See more in the video:
